After scoring several top-ten results in his 2019 campaign, Jason Bell will return to one of his favorite tracks in North America this coming weekend. Piloting a Porsche 718 Cayman CS MR, Bell will travel to Alton, Virginia and the Virginia International Raceway with GMG Racing. Looking to turn track knowledge into a podium result or a race win, Bell will compete in the Pirelli GT4 America Sprint program.
"I have had the VIR event circled on my calendar for quite a while," explained Bell. "I really enjoy the facility and the layout. The track suits my driving style, and I seem to always have strong performances there. While I am hoping that I am not putting a curse on myself, I can't wait to get on track and see what we can do!"
Piloting a Porsche Cayman at the Grand Prix of Long Beach for the first time, Bell will utilize knowledge gained from the bumpy street circuit and transfer that to the fast and flowing hills of Virginia.
Bell continued, "The switch to Porsche is not because a like or a dislike of any particular brand or the favoring of one over another. My goal is to win and gain the best results possible, and I feel that the experience I have at VIR and the Porsche product provides me with the best chance to stand atop the podium."
