The Pirelli GT4 America field sped into action Thursday afternoon at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, officially kicking off the final rounds of the 2025 championship. The opening Practice 1 session saw competitive times across all three classes, with multiple manufacturers vying for early momentum ahead of this weekend’s season finale. Despite an early red flag that paused the session 15 minutes in, teams made full use of the remaining green flag time to fine-tune their setups and find pace around the legendary road course.

Silver Class

Aston Martin flexed its muscle early as Mike David Ortmann and Braydon Arthur led both the Silver class and the overall times in their No. 4 JMF Motorsports Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4 EVO. Teammate Jonathan Neudorf and Jesse Webb, piloting the No. 3 sister car, slotted into second in class, giving JMF Motorsports a commanding 1-2 in the early stages that held strong all the way through.

The marque’s strength continued late in the session, with Luca Mars and Max Hewitt climbing into third in the No. 39 van der Steur Racing Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4 EVO in the closing five minutes, making it an Aston Martin sweep of the top three in Silver.

Pro-Am Class

In Pro-Am, it was Matheus Leist who topped the charts with a strong showing for NOLASPORT, putting the No. 47 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport first in class and second overall. Leist, partnered with Matt Travis for the weekend, held off a late challenge from Michael Cooper in the No. 33 Blackdog Racing McLaren Artura GT4, who finished just 0.175 seconds behind.

The No. 9 ACI Motorsports Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport of Loek Hartog and Dan Sibille rounded out the top three in class, finishing sixth overall on the timesheets.

Am Class

It was an all-BMW top three in Am, further underscoring the brand’s consistency. The category was led by familiar faces James Clay and Charlie Postins in the No. 36 BimmerWorld BMW M4 GT4 (G82), continuing their strong form to open the weekend.

Zach Lumsden and Kris Wilson followed close behind in the No. 413 Flying Lizard Motorsports BMW M4 GT4 (G82) EVO, while Michael Garcia and Alex Garcia secured third in class aboard the No. 07 Skip Barber Racing BMW M4 GT4 (G82) despite the fact that their session came to an earlier end.
