Dome Motorsport today announced that Canadian driver Ron Tomlinson will substitute for Laura Hayes in the team’s No. 37 Mercedes-AMG GT4 entry for this weekend’s 3-Hour Lone Star Enduro, part of the SRO GT4 America championship.
Hayes, who was previously confirmed as co-driver alongside team owner Eddie Killeen in the AM class entry, will be unavailable for the event. Tomlinson will step in to partner with Killeen for the endurance contest as Dome Motorsport continues its sophomore SRO GT4 America season.
Tomlinson brings a wealth of experience across multiple racing disciplines, with a reputation for adaptability and consistency in endurance competition. The Ottawa, Canada native has competed in a wide range of series and is a familiar face in North American sports car racing paddocks, making him a strong addition to the lineup for the Circuit of the Americas round.
“We’re very pleased to have Ron step in for this weekend,” said team owner Eddie Killeen. “He’s a versatile and experienced driver who understands what it takes to deliver in endurance racing. While we’ll miss having Laura with us, this is a great opportunity to bring Ron into the program, and I’m confident we’ll be competitive in the AM class.”
Tomlinson will make his Dome Motorsport debut at Circuit of The Americas, teaming with Killeen in the team’s second Mercedes-AMG GT4 as they target a strong result in the extended-format race.
“I’m excited to join Dome Motorsport for the Lone Star Enduro,” said Tomlinson. “Eddie has been trying to get me into one of these cars for a while, so I guess I finally ran out of excuses. It’s a great team with a strong program, and I’m looking forward to getting up to speed quickly and putting together a solid result.”
Dome Motorsport continues to field a two-car effort in the highly competitive SRO GT4 America championship. In the Pro/Am class, sports car champion and race winner, Marc Miller, is paired with rising GT talent, Allen Patten, as the team looks to challenge for podium finishes across both classes.
Now in its second season, Dome Motorsport continues to build momentum with a focus on professionalism, performance engineering, and competitive results. The 3-Hour Lone Star Enduro marks a key early-season opportunity for the team to showcase its depth and adaptability.
Laura Hayes’ return to the lineup is expected to be at the next round of the SRO GT4 America championship at Sebring International Raceway from May 7-9.
