Nolasport Heads to Sonoma for SprintX Competition

New Orleans, LA. – The Nolasport Porsches make their way to Sonoma, CA to Sonoma Raceway as the midway event of the 2019 Pirelli GT4 America SprintX championship. The team's Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 CS MR will be in action June 7-9.

The Sonoma Raceway's 12 turn, 2.52 mile road course is the first of two west coast starts for the Nolasport team. The challenging 12 turn circuit features more than 160 feet of elevation change and should suit the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 CS MR's strengths well.

This will be the first trip to Sonoma Raceway for Matt Travis, again he is relying on simulator time and coach Jason Hart. 'I'm coming in to a new facility and will again find out how accurate iRacing's map is. Jason and I will get straight to work ensuring I'm prepared to have success on track. We'll work our process and find the speed I need to compete at the front in the Nolasport 47.' The Houston, TX based driver does have one wish for the weekend, 'I just don't want it to be cold and windy. I really enjoy going to new places and racing on great racetracks but, for once this season, I'd like to leave my jacket at home.'

Sonoma Raceway is a return to his roots for Jason Hart who grew up playing in the paddock. 'I was born in San Francisco, CA so this is race is a bit of a homecoming for me. My Mom and Dad both raced Porsches here when the facility was known as Sears Point. I'm looking forward to jumping back in the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 CS MR for the 4th round of the Pirelli GT4 America SprintX championship. The Nolasport 47 is such a fun car to drive and has proven to have the performance required to compete at the front of the field. I know I've said it previously, there is not much more a driver can ask for, this team and all drivers operate as one big family.'
