Fast Track Racing/Classic BMW Pirelli GT4 America SprintX Lineup Set with two BMW M4 GT4 Machines

PLANO, Tex. – The Fast Track Racing/Classic BMW team, winners of the prestigious worldwide BMW World Sports Trophy in 2018, today announced its 2019 driver lineup for the Pirelli GT4 America road racing series featuring two BMW M4 GT4 sports cars in SprintX competition.

The Texas-based racing organization will field the No. 92 EFI Global/CAO/Classic BMW BMW M4 GT4 race car for drivers Toby Grahovec of Celina, Tex., and Chris Ohmacht of Franklin Lakes, N.J., in the SprintX Pro-Am division as well as the No. 17 Raphael & Associates/Classic BMW BMW M4 GT4 machine for the duo of Justin Raphael of also Franklin Lakes, N.J., and Scotland native Stevan McAleer of Cold Spring, N.Y., in the Pro-Am category.

Both tandems were successful in last year’s debut of the potent BMW M4 GT4 sports car in the Pirelli World Challenge GTS category (now known as Pirelli GT4 America).

In 2018, the Grahovec/Ohmacht pair recorded two GTSA SprintX class victories in the No. 92 ETF Global/CAO/Classic BMW BMW M4 GT4, one at VIRginia International Raceway and the other at Utah Motorsports Campus. The Grahovec/Ohmacht tandem placed third in the final 2018 GTSA SprintX Championship.

Last year, the No. 17 Raphael & Associates/Classic BMW BMW M4 GT4 entry of Raphael/McAleer battled in the very competitive Pro-Am class and scored an impressive second place at COTA as well as strong performance at Portland International Raceway.

Classic BMW became the first American-based team to win the esteemed BMW World Sports Trophy team championship in 2018, halting the four-year domination of the Pixum Team Adrenalin Motorsport organization. The new BMW M4 GT4 came from the factory as a very competitive race car and ready to compete at the highest level. This led to immediate success and prestigious honor for Fast Track Racing in 2018.

The opening race for the Fast Track Racing/Classic BMW team is scheduled for March 1-3 at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA).

The Fast Track Racing GT4 competitors are anxious for the kickoff event at COTA after a strong opening campaign in 2018, and the Classic BMW squad will also field BMW M240iR sedans in the Touring Car division at the Austin, Tex., racing facility.

CHRIS OHMACHT, No. 92 EFI Global/CAO/Classic BMW BMW M4 GT4:
“I’m very excited to be returning to Classic BMW/Fast Track Racing for the 2019 season. Hopefully Toby and I will be able to continue the success we had last season, particularly now that we have a year of experience with the car to build upon. As always, I’m sure that there will be some tough competition, but I’m confident we will have a strong team this year. I can’t wait for the COTA season opener in just few weeks!”

TOBY GRAHOVEC, No. 92 EFI Global/CAO/Classic BMW BMW M4 GT4:
“Chris and I enjoyed a very good opening year in 2018 together with the all-new BMW M4 GT4 from Fast Track Racing and Classic BMW. It was a learning experience in the new M4, but the car was outstanding since the first testing session. We were able to score two wins last year and finish third in the final points. The overall performance of the BMW M4 GT4 helped Fast Track Racing and Classic BMW capture the incredible BMW Sports Trophy awarded to the top BMW Customer team in the world. Now, we want to improve on last year’s showings beginning with the COTA weekend, since we call it our home track.”

JUSTIN RAPHAEL, No. 17 Raphael & Associates/Classic BMW BMW M4 GT4:
“My teammate Stevan McAleer and I are very excited to return to the GT4 SprintX series for the 2019 season. We believe they have made some positive changes to the series and we are looking forward to being a part of it. Likewise, we are thrilled to continue our relationship with Fast Track Racing and Classic BWM which has been a stellar partner. It should be a thrilling season!”

STEVAN McALEER, No. 17 Raphael & Associates/Classic BMW BMW M4 GT4:
“I’m super excited to be back for the Pirelli GT4 America Series with Justin Raphael and the Classic BMW group. I have been working with Justin and Chris for four years now and was very proud to see Chris podium P3 in the season points in the GTSA class last year. The highlight of my season was Justin and myself leading most of the opening round at COTA and winding up our season best finish of P2. The two guys have come a long way with their driving, but now we come into the season with higher expectations. Podiums are amazing but consistency is key to the Championship and that’s where we lacked last year. So, the focus is to finish every race. We will have the speed and think the tracks this year will suit the Classic BMW BMW M4 well. We want to execute pit stops and keep our nose clean each weekend. I can’t wait to get going in just under a month.”
