Nolasport Returns to Top Step at PIR

Nolasport looks back upon the Pirelli GT4 America SprintX West Coast Swing's final stop at Portland International Raceway for the Rose Cup Races. The team continued to execute at a high standard through both SprintX races and extend the Pro-Am championship points lead.

The Nolasport Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport MR was able to land itself on the Pirelli GT4 America SprintX podium for both races. The Nolasport 47 came home 4th overall in Race 1 and second in SprintX Pro-Am. Race 2 would be a 3rd overall and a win in SprintX Pro-Am.

Fully in redemption mode from his 2018 outing in TC America, Matt Travis was able to improve on that performance and create some racing memories on this trip to PIR. 'I'm really proud of the Nolasport team demonstrating our ability to put together mistake-free races. The Nolasport 47 was the top Porsche at the event by a landslide. I'm pleased with my drives but I know there is still more performance for me here at PIR. The blackberries here on site for a mid track walk snack are still the absolute best. My family had a great time through the event and we found yet another incredible spot to eat.'

Ever hungry for more, Jason Hart was largely content with the results from the weekend. 'The Nolasport team gave Matt and me a Porsche that couldn't have been better, I don't know what I could have asked for to get more speed out of the car. We accomplished our maximum result on-track at PIR and hold a 33 point advantage in the championship. My Nolasport family executed seamlessly all event, Matt was stellar as a true gentleman driver and I'm pleased with my time cards. This was our best drive of the season as a team. It must have been the track walk, back straight, blackberries. I couldn't be more grateful to be the choice for both Matt Travis and Nolasport in what is the best racing year of my life.'

The Nolasport 47 and Pirelli GT4 America SprintX competition moves on to historic Watkins Glen International August 30 through September 1, 2019.
