Nolasport Championship Chase heads to The Glen

Watkins Glen, NY. - The Nolasport team's chase for the Pirelli GT4 America SprintX championship makes its way to the historic Watkins Glen International raceway August 30 through September 1, 2019.

Following a successful run at Portland International Raceway, the Nolasport Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport MR of Matt Travis and Jason Hart was able to continue its Pirelli GT4 America SprintX podium streak. The team is set on maintaining the momentum of the season through Watkins Glen.

Watkins Glen International is a season highlight that the Nolasport team and drivers look forward to.

'Watkins Glen has always been a favorite of mine,' said Matt Travis. 'I'm hopeful we can have a good clean race and strengthen our championship lead. We know anything can happen at the Glen. I know I may be alone in this but I really wouldn't mind another rain race before the end of the season.'

Jason Hart is always looking for an excuse to make the trip from Texas to Watkins Glen. 'I'm really looking forward to being in a Nolasport prepared Porsche at one of my favorite tracks. The championship is winding down and we have a 33 point lead. Matt and I know there are challengers for the top spot and we are prepared for the fight to the finish. I can't thank Matt and Nolasport enough for putting their trust in me this season and my family for the support through it all.'

The Pirelli GT4 America SprintX races at Watkins Glen International will be run August 30 through September 1. Qualifying will take place Saturday, Aug 31 at 10 a.m. ET with Race 1 set for 5:50 p.m. ET. Race 2 is scheduled for 1 p.m. PT on Sunday, Sept 1.
