OGH Motorsport join forces with NOLASPORT for GT4-America Sprint X Program

Today, OGH Motorsport and NOLASPORT announced a partnership which will see the New Orleans based Porsche specialist enter a car in the SRO GT4 America Sprint X Series. The 2019 Sprint X East Am Runner-Up, Sean Gibbons, will compete in his Garages of Dallas/FBFK/Metro Capital Partners/Digiture Porsche Cayman MR alongside his fellow Texan, 33 year old Zac Anderson in the Sprint X AM Division.

NOLASPORT Team Owner, John Scheurich knows that surpassing the team’s outstanding efforts in 2019 will be a challenge. “Last year we won seven races in Sprint X Pro-Am and grabbed second spot in the Team standings. That still leaves room for improvement and with Sean and Zac, I know we have a really good shot at this season’s Sprint X Championship.”

For Driver, Sean Gibbons, starting the series at home is a huge plus. “I am looking to repeat our results at COTA over the last few years as a great way to kick off the season. I am excited for Zac and I to share the car this season and to be teamed with my close friends Matt [Travis] and Jason [Hart] at NOLASPORT. We have some great new sponsors and will have over 30 guests at the track cheering us on. Hope we can take them to the podium again”

The scale of the task and the level of competition is not lost on Zac Anderson. “If you would have told me just 4 years ago that I would be racing in this car, with this team, with this group of people surrounding me, I just wouldn’t have believed it.” For the driver who raced spec Miatas as a teenager, finally getting the opportunity to race at the SRO level is something he won’t take for granted. “It’s been an unusual road with plenty of slip-ups along the way, but I finally feel like my comeback story is starting to get good! Thank you to Sean Gibbons, Nolasport, and Jason Hart for believing in me enough to try me out.”

The OGH Motorsport/NOLASPORT program begins at Circuit of the Americas in Austin Texas with opening practice on Thursday, March 5th. Races 1 and 2 of the 2020 SRO GT4-America Sprint X Championship take place on Saturday, March 7th and Sunday, March 8th.
