Andretti Autosport GT4 Race Preview Report VIR

#18 Andretti Autosport driver Jarett Andretti, on heading into the next Sprint races,

“VIR Is one of those hidden gem road courses in the United States that has a ton of history, but doesn't get the recognition it deserves because it doesn't host an IndyCar or NASCAR race. However, it is one of the classics in my mind of road courses in the world and I always enjoy coming back to the rolling hills to compete. I had my first car racing school at VIR and it is the track closest to where I grew up in North Carolina so it's very close to my heart.”

#36 Andrett Autosport drivers Andretti and Colin Mullan, on heading into the next SprintX races,

Andretti: “I have enjoyed the time with family during this shutdown, but racing is what we all love to do and I believe I speak for everyone when I say I can't wait to get back to the track and compete again. I have been racing the sprint car and its been going really well but getting back in the McLaren will certainly be something I can't wait to do."

"I really miss competing on a week in and week out basis so it will be nice to get back and do six total races for the whole weekend! That will be really exciting for me and I can't wait to get back to the track.”

Mullan: “It's been a long 4 months away from the race track! Since then I've graduated from high school and honed in on my sim-racing skills, but I've really missed the real thing.  There are lots of pieces to VIR that are fast, technical, and daring all at the same time. The run up the esses can be daunting at first glance, but it's quickly become one of my favorite sections of track across the country. I've been to VIR twice in IMSA, and both times weather played a huge role in how our race went. Rain can strike at any time, so we'll have to be prepared for various weather conditions.”
