Silver Division Duo Elghanayan and Siljehaug Shine in Sonoma, Team Scores Both Overall Pirelli GT4 America SprintX Poles

Sonoma, CA - The Silver Division driver duo of Nicolai Elghanayan and Mads Siljehaug were perfect Friday morning scoring both overall poles for Friday's and Saturday's Pirelli GT4 America SprintX contests at Sonoma Raceway. The 2.5 mile, 12-turn natural terrain circuit in Northern California will be the site of this weekend's action.

The 30-minute session, held under perfect sunny, 69-degree Fahrenheit weather conditions was split into two 15-minute segments with each segment setting the grid for either Friday's, or Saturday's race.

Silver division driver Elghanayan had the fastest overall time of the first session (1:46.338) behind the wheel of the #71 Marco Polo Motorsports KTM X-Bow. Siljehaug took over the reins for the second heat and matched his teammate's efforts securing the pole for race two with a top time of 1:45.591.

In the first heat to set the grid for Friday's race, Pro/Am driver Flying Lizard Motorsports Michael Dinan in the #21 Aston Martin Vantage GT4 set the early fast time of 1:47.097 followed by fellow Pro/Am competitor Matt Travis in the #47 NOLASPORT Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 with a 1:47.323. Andretti Autosport's Colin Mullan in the #36 Window World-MI Windows and Doors, #CheckIt4Andretti-Military to Motorsports McLaren 570S GT4 the went to the top with a 1:46.695. Elghanayan then set the fast time of the session to top 1:46.338 to grab the overall and Silver division pole. Travis will start second overall and first in Pro/Am (1:46.495) while GMG Racing's Michael McGrath in the #14 Audi R8 LMS GT4 will start 6th overall, and first in the Am Division (1:47.241).

In the second heat to qualify for race two, Pro/Am driver Flying Lizard Motorsports' Robby Foley, who had taken over the reins of the #21 Aston Martin Vantage GT4 from Dinan, burst to top with a 1:45.915. A lap later he improved his time to a 1:45.891. Siljehaug then eclisped Foley's time with the 1:45.591. Foley's time held for second best and he will start on pole in the Pro/Am division. Rearden Racing's Kris Wilson, will start 5th overall and first in the Am division behind the wheel of the #16 Mercedes AMG GT4 (1:46.379).
