Austin, TX - Dallas, Texas native Jason Hart posted the fastest time in Thursday afternoon's combined Pirelli GT4 America Sprint and SprintX series practice session at Circuit of the Americas. The start of the 45-minute session was delayed because of lightning near the track. Once underway competitors dealt with wet track conditions.
Hart, running in both the Sprint and SprintX races this coming weekend, set the fastest time of the session (2:18.821) in his NOLASPORT #47 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4. Hart and his teammate Matt Travis are the Pro-Am SprintX class leaders coming into Rounds 12 and 13 of the championship.
Drew Staveley behind the wheel of his #12 Ian Lacy Racing Ford Mustang GT4 had the second fastest time of the session and fastest in the Sprint Pro division (2:19.061). SprintX Silver division points leader Colin Mullan in the Andretti Autosport #36 Window World of Michigan McLaren 570S GT4 had the third fastest overall time (and fastest in the Silver division) with a 2:20.318.
Motorsport USA’s Michael McAleenan in the #3 McLaren 570s GT4 had the fastest time in the SprintX Am category with a 2:22.990.
