Indianapolis, Ind. - Robby Foley and the #21 Flying Lizard Motorsports Aston Martin Vantage GT4 set the fastest time in Wednesday’s opening Pirelli GT4 America combined Practice Session with a time of 1:31.392 around the Racing Capital of the World's road course.
Jan Heylen and the #37 RS1 Porsche Cayman CS MR sat atop the standings for most of the session with a 1:31.643 lap time, but would fall to second after Foley's late-session flier. Gregory Liefooghe’s #19 Stephen Cameron Racing BMW M4 GT4 and Bill Auberlen’s #82 BimmerWorld BMW M4 GT4 would set identical 1:31.647 lap times, ending up third and fourth overall. The top four are all SprintX Pro-Am entrants.
Harry Gottsacker and the #28 ST Racing BMW M4 GT4 rounded out the top five, fastest of the SprintX Silver drivers.
Champion-elect Michael Cooper and the #10 Blackdog Speedshop McLaren 570S GT4 led the Sprint competitors with a best lap of 1:32.203, good enough for eighth overall.
Paul Terry, Round 13 winner, was the fastest of the Sprint Am competitors with a 1:32.605 lap, which placed him fifteenth overall.
