Jason Bell Set for First Event of 2021 with GMG Racing and Aston Martin

Ready to grid for the first official event of the 2021 season, Jason Bell and returning co-driver Andrew Davis will compete this weekend, March 4-7 for the first round of the SRO Pirelli GT4 America SprintX Championship. Taking place at the famed Sonoma Raceway in Napa Valley, California, Bell and Davis are returning to the site of one of their many podium finishes in 2021. While partnered together in the SprintX class, Bell will also compete solo the GT America GT4 category.

Continuing his partnership with Andrew Davis and GMG Racing, Bell will be making his debut event with the Aston Martin Vantage GT4. However, the multi-time podium winning duo have had plenty of prep time since their announcement with Aston Martin as over the past few months, they have taken part in numerous private test days in preparation for their quest for the SprintX Championship.

“It will be great to get the 2021 season started,” expressed Bell. “I am confident in our preparation and believe that we are ready to contend. I am excited to be able to share the seat with Andrew and think we will be a powerful combination with both Aston Martin and GMG Racing.”

Last year, Bell and Davis had a solid weekend at Sonoma Raceway, finishing third, fourth and fourth in the three-race weekend. This year, with a new manufacturer, a season of driving together and multiple test opportunities under their belts, Bell and Davis have set a goal of podium finishes in both upcoming races.

Bell continued, “We have two test sessions on Thursday that will help us kick start our weekend. Our first chance at a podium and race win in 2021 will be on Saturday with round two on Sunday. I will also be the benefactor of a few extra on track sessions courtesy of my GT America GT4 entry as well. Whatever I am able to learn while on track in the class is sure to help Andrew and I in the SprintX division.”

Returning to the standard weekend schedule after a condensed 2020 season, Bell and Davis will have three test sessions spread out over Thursday and Friday before taking part in two official practice sessions. On Saturday, both drivers will have their first twenty-minute qualifying session before race one. The weekend will come to an end after the second and final race on Sunday morning.

Jason Bell would like to thank all of his partners for their continued support. A huge thanks to GMG Racing, Aston Martin Racing, Ceramic Pro USA and Gridsport.
