Ashland Racer Derek DeBoer is an Open Book

ASHLAND, OR - For Ashland racer Derek DeBoer a covid-enforced life away from the race track has allowed for another pursuit; children's literature.

Next week's Circuit of America race in Texas will debut the availability of "Fast Life, Let's Go Racing" a children's book written by DeBoer's wife Brooke and illustrated by daughter Paige.

"I'm so proud of my family," understated proud papa Derek. "To tell the story of chasing one's dreams- in our case racing-is a message that resonates with children, and adults, everywhere."

The book tells the story from a children's perspective that anyone can live their dreams with the right focus, hard work and desire. "Both Brooke and Paige and my entire family have lived our dream of becoming a race family. The collaboration of mother and daughter to create this story is truly inspirational," smiled DeBoer.

The book will be officially launched April 30 thru May 2nd at the COTA race outside of Austin, Texas, where copies of the book will be available for sale. Pre-orders are available at www.fastlife.tv. "And best of all," explained DeBoer, "Is that 10% of proceeds will go to charities focused on youth initiatives."

DeBoer races Porsche car #66 for The Racers Group and will appear in the Pirelli GT4 America competition this weekend.
