Watkins Glen, NY - Cloudy skies covered Watkins Glen International for the first Pirelli GT4 America practice. The quickest time overall was by the #52 BMW M4 of John Capestro-Dubets from Auto Technic Racing in the Pro-Am category. Capestro-Dubets ran a 1:56.116, just seven hundredths of a second faster than the second-place car in practice, the #34 BMW M4 of Bill Auberlen for BimmerWorld Racing. Third in Pro-Am was the #930 Audi R8 LMS GT4 of Sameer Gandhi for Carbahn with a time of 1:56.346, placing the car fourth overall, just two-tenths back from the top of the chart.

The Silver class was led by the #35 Mercedes-AMG of Colin Mullan for Conquest Racing West, with a fastest lap of 1:56.313. Second in the Silver category was the #11 BMW M4 of Toby Grahovec for Classic BMW. Grahovec, and his teammate Stevan McAleer, are locked in a fierce fight for third place in the Silver points standings with the #94 BMW M4 driven by Chandler Hull and Jon Miller of BimmerWorld Racing, who were 4th fastest in class with Hull behind the wheel. 

The #09 Aston Martin Vantage AMR driven by Paul Kiebler was quickest in the Am class, with a time of 1:57.359, less than a tenth quicker than the second-quickest class competitor, the #619 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 CLUBSPORT MR driven by Thomas Merrill for Stephen Cameron Racing. Third in the Am category was the #16 Mercedes-AMG of Kris Wilson, driving for Capstone Motorsports alongside co-driver John Allen. The duo is currently second in the points championship behind the #68 Toyota Supra GR driven by John Geesbrecht and Kevin Conway of Smooge Racing, who were fifth quickest in class at Watkins Glen International.
