Anderson, Rivard Pairing To Pilot First Stateside Ginetta G56 GT4 In 2022 Pirelli GT4 America Championship

Building on a successful 2021 debut, the all-new Ginetta G56 will join Pirelli GT4 America competition for the 2022 season. The new entrant, fielded by Dexter Racing, puts Ben Anderson alongside Matt Rivard for the Sonoma Raceway opener in GT4 America. New for 2022, the Ginetta G56 GT4 brings a host of upgrades over the previous generation G55 GT4.

“We’re excited to showcase the race-pace advantages this new Ginetta brings,” stated Rivard. Both Anderson and Rivard have shown impressive late-race drives through the field in previous GT4 America competition. “In pre-season testing we’ve put a focus on optimizing lap time late in a stint,” stated Anderson. “The ability for the drivers to adjust to the car over a stint will be crucial in our success in this sprint format.”

Ginetta North American partner Dexter Racing aims to echo its 2021 success with a repeat of last year’s season-opening win at Sonoma. Pre-season testing continues in March and the outfit has added new team members to the engineering and development side of the program. The 2022 GT4 America season gets underway at Sonoma Raceway April 13-15.

About Ginetta:

Ginetta is a British sports racing car company founded over 60 years ago. The company was acquired by Le Mans winning entrepreneur, Lawrence Tomlinson in 2005 and since then has been transformed under his ownership. Ginetta has grown significantly in recent years to become a formidable Motorsport Group providing racers, drivers and enthusiasts a comprehensive range of race cars, driver development, sim training, and Blyton Park Race Track. Ginetta continues to design and develop world-beating race car technology at its HQ near Leeds. This performance engineering is directly shared across all race cars and series including the new GTA and GT4 car which has been designed by the same team as the Ginetta LMP1. With the majority of British sports car companies now owned by overseas investors, above all Ginetta remains proudly British, with a down to earth family ethos.
