Sebring, Florida -  The Pirelli GT4 America drivers took to the track for the first practice session of the day at the legendary Sebring International Raceway. The sixth weekend of the 2022 season is shaping up to be an exciting event with crucial championship points on the line. Crowds have been treated to fierce competition all year long, and those in attendance at the Florida circuit this weekend are lining up to see their own piece of the action.

Silver class leader Eric Filgueiras rose to the top of the overall leaderboard early in the session, further demonstrating how competitive the #18 RS1 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport has been this season. He set an impressive lap time of 2.11.595, 0.619 quicker than the second-best time in the Silver class from Kevin Conway in the #68 Smooge Racing Toyota GR Supra GT4. Gavin Sanders (#34 Conquest Racing/JMF Motorsports Mercedes-AMG GT4) followed closely behind with the third-best time in the class. Sanders and teammate Michai Stephens currently sit second in the championship and will be aiming for strong performances this weekend to edge out the competitors behind.

Second overall and first in the Pro-Am class was the #71 GMG Racing Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport of Alex Premat with a time of 2.11.791. Todd Coleman in the #69 Smooge Racing Toyota GR Supra GT4 secured the second-best Pro-Am and third-best overall time. Jason Hart, the current points leader, completed the Top 3 in the class. The Top 2 in the class championship are only separated by a mere 4 points, therefore the NOLASPORT pairing will be doing all they can to keep their #47 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport in the lead.

In the Am class, Nelson Calle drove his #83 RS1 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport to the top spot in the field. Consistency is key with this driver pairing, having scored points in nine of ten races so far this season. Class leader Charlie Postins (#36 BimmerWorld BMW M4 GT4) was slightly behind in second, followed by Alex Filsinger (#53 Auto Technic Racing BMW M4 GT4).

Practice 2 starts at 5:15 PM ET, followed by Qualifying at 10:40 and 11:00 AM on Saturday.
