In both session overall and class rankings, it was Andretti Autosport namesake Jarett Andretti who earned the top spot with the #18 McLaren 570S GT4. His time of 1:27.506-seconds was the top practice lap for quite some time dureing the session and managed to place Andretti in the top spot after a post-race penalty was applied to James Sofronas' runs, invalidating them.

Behind him, multi-class champion Michael Cooper managed a best effort of 1:27.835-seconds in the #10 Blackdog Speed Shop machine, a McLaren 570S GT4 - representing a new marque for Cooper and the team this season.

For Team Panoz, Ian James took the #50 Panoz Avezzano to a click slower than Cooper, stopping the clock at 1:27.882-seconds.
