The Pirelli GT4 America Championship field took to the grid in the late afternoon for Practice Two to close out the on-track action on Friday. Although the sun was gradually beginning its descent, track temperatures were as hot as ever as the scorching Austin heat offered no relief. However, the drivers kept their focus and proceeded to light the track ablaze in their mighty machines.
A red flag halted the on-track action for a little over 10 minutes, but drivers were able to resume their green flag running and clock in their final flying laps before they face off again tomorrow morning for qualifying.
Silver Class
Zac Anderson and JCD Dubets made it a double by securing the fastest time in the Silver class in both practice sessions today on board the No. 51 Auto Technic Racing BMW M4 GT4. They were followed by another BMW entry with the likes of Jon Miller and Chandler Hull in the No. 88 STR38 Motorsports BMW M4 GT4, picking up another second place finish today.
Kevin Boehm and Kenton Koch made it a 1-2-3 finish for BMW this afternoon, slotting their No. 92 Random Vandals Racing BMW M4 GT4 into third. The No. 34 Conquest Racing Mercedes-AMG GT4 of Michai Stephens and Jesse Webb finished fourth, with the No. 19 ACI Motorsports Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport of Francis Selldorff and Andrew Davis finalizing the Top 5.
PRO-AM Class
The No. 82 BimmerWorld BMW M4 GT4 of James Walker Jr. and Tyler McQuarrie were absolutely rapid from the get-go, setting the time to beat both in class and the overall standings, in addition to being the only team to sneak under the 2:15 minute mark. This morning’s fastest duo, Jason Bell and Michael Cooper, were not far behind in their No. 2 Flying Lizard Motorsports Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4.
Tim Pappas and Jeroen Bleekemolen moved their No. 54 Black Swan Racing McLaren Artura GT4 up into third for the second practice session, with John Geesbreght and Kevin Conway in hot pursuit in the No. 68 Smooge Racing Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO. There was a true display of manufacturer variety as the No. 7 ACI Motorsports Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport of Kay van Berlo and Curt Swearingin took fifth place in the session.

Nicholas Shannny and Terry Borcheller once again proved that their No. 20 Carrus Callas Raceteam Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO is a force to be reckoned with, setting the top time in class and breaking into the Top 10 overall.
