The National Park of Speed will host two more thrilling races with 36 cars across the Silver, Pro-Am and Am Classes making their way to Road America for the next round of the Pirelli GT4 America championship season. With only three rounds remaining, teams will be giving it their all to secure important points.
The 4.048-mile, 14-turn course carves around the Wisconsin countryside and is surrounded by campsites within the sprawling facility, including hiking and bike trails, car corrals and a go-kart track along the back straight. Fans will have plenty to see and do with 10 races taking place over the course of three days.
The weekend festivities kick off with the annual GT Parade and Welcome Party on Thursday evening. Series racecars will make the journey from Road America to downtown Elkhart Lake at 5pm for a spectacle on the streets of the Village. Meet the stars and cars of SRO America at Siebkens and enjoy live music, free swag, and Spotted Cow.
SILVER
It was a battle of the BMW’s last time out at VIRginia International Raceway, with the No. 92 Random Vandals Racing BMW M4 GT4 of Kevin Boehm and Kenton Koch taking the win in Race 1, and the No. 51 Auto Technic Racing BMW M4 GT4 of Zac Anderson and JCD Dubets coming in second, only for the two teams to swap podium places in Race 2. A third BMW entered into the mix, with the No. 88 STR38 Motorsports BMW M4 GT4 of Chandler Hull and Jon Miller taking home third place in Race One.
Meanwhile, Jesse Webb and Michai Stephens claimed the final podium spot in the No. 34 Conquest Racing / JMF Motorsport Mercedes-AMG GT4 in Race Two.
Tyler Maxson and Tyler Gonzalez will be back on board the No. 74 Copeland Motorsports Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO, with the likes of Parker Thompson and Daniel Hanley joining the Toyota fleet in the No. 999 Hanley Motorsports Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO.
The No. 19 ACI Motorsports Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport of Francis Selldorff and Andrew Davis will be back on track, and Road America will also see the return of Rory van der Steur and Jamie Day with their No. 119 van der Steur Racing Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4.
PRO-AM
BimmerWorld dominated in the Pro-Am Class at VIR, with the No. 82 BimmerWorld BMW M4 GT4 co-driven by Tyler McQuarrie and James Walker Jr. securing both wins. The duo now leads the championship by a mere two point margin.
The second-place finishers were occupied by Porsche teams, with Jason Hart and Matt Travis scooping up a P2 finish in Race 1 in No. 47 NOLASPORT Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport, and the No. 7 ACI Motorsports Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport of Curt Swearingin and Kay van Berlo doing the same in Race 2.
Aston Martin will be in good company once again, with the No. 8 Flying Lizard Motorsports Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4 of Elias Sabo and Andy Lee ready to return to the track, joined by Gray Newell and Roman De Angelis in the No. 24 Heart of Racing Team Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4, and the No. 50 Chouest Povoledo Racing Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4 of Ross Chouest and Aaron Povoledo, who claimed a third-place finish in the previous round in Race 2. Comparatively, the third-place counterparts in Race 1 went to Colin Garrett and Johan Schwartz in the No. 44 Rooster Hall Racing BMW M4 GT4.
Toyota will be represented by John Geesbreght and Kevin Conway in the No. 68 Smooge Racing Toyota Gazoo Racing GR Supra GT4, and the No. 37 Skip Barber Racing School Toyota Gazoo Racing GR Supra GT4 of Matt Forbush and Carter Fartuch.
Road America will also see the return of the No. 35 Conquest Racing / JMF Motorsport Mercedes-AMG GT4, driven by Custodio Toledo and Cedric Sbirrazzuoli.
No. 22 and No. 23 TechSport Racing Nissan Z GT4 cars, driven by Eric Powell and Colin Harrison, and Bryan Heitkotter and Tyler Stone will also be racing around the National Park of Speed in search of more points.
AM
BMW had another strong showing at VIR, with BimmerWorld’s James Clay and Charlie Postins adding another two wins to their name in the No. 36 BimmerWorld BMW M4 GT4. The No. 438 STR38 Motorsports BMW G82 M4 GT4 of Chris Allen and Robert Mau also added to BMW’s success as they took home a second-place finish, with Paul Sparta and Al Carter also securing a third-place result with the No. 98 Random Vandals Racing BMW M4 GT4. They will also be accompanied by fellow BMW entrants Rob Walker and Satakal Khalsa in the No. 253 Auto Technic Racing BMW M4 GT4.
The No. 72 KRUGSPEED car of Jaden Lander and Anthony Geraci also saw some success at VIR as they stepped on the podium with a P2 finish in Race 2. There will be two more Toyota entries present at Road America in the AM Class, with the No. 20 Carrus Callas Raceteam Toyota Gazoo Racing GR Supra GT4 of Terry Borcheller and Nicholas Shanny, and the No. 67 Smooge Racing machine of Isabella Robusto and Joey DaSilva completing the lineup.
Porsche will be busy once again, with a total of five entries making their way to Road America. The No. 09 Zotz Racing/ CCDP Racing Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport of Chris Ruppel and Eric Zitza, the No. 18 RS1 machine of Austin and Roland Krainz, the No. 52 car of David Peterman and Lee Carpentier, the No. 58 ACI Motorsports entry of Richard Edge and Matt Halcome, and the No. 83 Nolasport of Nelson Calle and Juan Pablo Martinez will be ready to face off around the winding track.
The No. 89 RENNtech Motorsports Mercedes-AMG GT4 of Michael Auriemma and Tommy Johnson will be the lone Mercedes in the AM field, with Hannah Grisham and Rianna O’Meara-Hunt as the only Aston Martin representatives for this round in the No. 26 of Heart of Racing Team Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4.
