Conquest Racing will be arriving at the National Park of Speed with a full roster, fielding two entries in the fifth round of the Pirelli GT4 America Championship. Michai Stephens and Jesse Webb will be back behind the wheel of the #34 JMF Motorsports | Farrow Mercedes-AMG GT4 in the Silver class as they pursue their championship fight, currently sitting second in the standings. Custódio Toledo will also be making his return to the AM Class in the #35 Zuri Mercedes-AMG GT4 for the first time since the second round of the season at NOLA Motorsports Park, accompanied by co-driver Cédric Sbirrazzuoli.
Cédric Sbirrazzuoli comes equipped with an impressive and extensive racing pedigree, with the Monégasque driver having previously competed in Fanatec GT World Challenge America and Europe, collecting numerous podiums along the way at renowned tracks such as Circuit Ricardo Tormo, the Hockenheimring, and Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
“I’m very happy to be back with the team and I can hardly wait to get back in the car,” said Custodio Toledo. “I’m looking forward to racing here and co-driving with my new teammate Cédric. He is a very talented driver and I think we will make a strong pairing. The field will be very packed for this round, but Road America has a lot of overtaking opportunities and we’re determined to make the most out of our time here and bring home some great results for the team. I love this track, the old school feel suits my driving style, I’m really excited to race here.”
“I’m grateful for the opportunity to drive alongside Custodio,” said Cédric Sbirrazzuoli. “Conquest Racing has a phenomenal program and I know that we’ll have a competitive car from the get-go. I’m greatly looking forward to getting to work with the crew and I’ll be doing everything I can to assist the team and ensure that we have a strong performance at Road America.”
Michai Stephens and Conquest Racing stood on the podium at Road America last year, with a second-place finish in Race 2, and will be looking to do one better this time around. The 4.048 mile, 14-turn circuit is a favorite amongst both drivers and fans alike, with the old-school nature of the track serving as a great challenge from start to finish, pushing both a driver’s speed and skills to the limit.
“The band is getting back together to close out the summer break and take on the remaining 2023 SRO GT4 season,” exclaimed Michai Stephens. “It’s great to be returning to one of the renowned temples of speed, and the resurfaced track will certainly shake things up. The JMF Motorsports Conquest Racing organization is eager to get back to work in pursuit of securing measured results one race at a time. With our sister car back in the fight, there is an added excitement as we prepare to enter into battle with additional support. The season is still very much littered with opportunities for us to grow and learn from. Jesse and I both can’t wait to strap back into our JMF Motorsports AMG GT4 with the intent of keeping ourselves in the championship hunt by giving it our all in every brake zone, apex and corner exit.”
“I’m very excited to be racing at Road America,” echoed Jesse Webb. “I’m eager to get back on track and this is an exceptional place to do it. This circuit is notorious for serving up exciting races and unpredictability, and we’ll be giving it our all to collect more points and hardware. I’m confident that we’ll be able to challenge for a win. The Conquest Racing and JMF Motorsports team have been putting in a lot of hard work preparing for this round, and I’m looking forward to seeing what we can accomplish.”
