Flying Lizard Motorsports and NOLASPORT Raise the Bar in Pirelli GT4 America Field Practice Two

As the sun reached high noon and beamed down over Sebring International Raceway, the Pirelli GT4 America field returned to commence Practice Two. The 45-minute session ran uninterrupted, much to the delight of teams and drivers alike as they utilized every vital lap to prepare for the first of three races taking place this weekend. The competition remained closer than ever across all classes, with promising action on the horizon. 


Silver Class

Zac Anderson and Jesse Webb were neck and neck in the No. 51 Auto Technic Racing BMW M4 GT4 and the No. 34 Conquest Racing / JMF Motorsport Mercedes-AMG GT4, with the two drivers exchanging fastest laps as the session continued on. However, as the temperatures rose and the session progressed, more teams put themselves in contention for the top spot. 

Parker Thompson rose to the top of the timing sheets once again in his No. 999 Hanley Motorsports Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO in the final stages of the session to claim the fastest time in class, with Conquest Racing’s Michai Stephens and Jesse Webb in hot pursuit. 

Harry Gottsacker secured another Top 3 finish in the No. 88 STR38 Motorsports BMW M4 GT4, followed by the No. 92 Random Vandals Racing BMW M4 GT4 in fourth, with Auto Technic Racing rounding off the session in fifth. 


PRO-AM Class

The PRO-AM class was also exceptionally speedy, with the No. 47 NOLASPORT Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport of Jason Hart and Matt Travis and the No. 8 Flying Lizard Motorsports Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4 not only tied for first place in class, but the two also set the fastest lap time overall with a 2:11.214. 

Curt Swearingin and Kay van Berlo picked up third place in class on board their No. 7 ACI Motorsports Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport, and sat just a mere 0.057 seconds off the top time. The No. 22 TechSport Racing Nissan Z GT4 of Eric Powell and Colin Harrison sat in fourth, just ahead of the No. 82 BMW M4 GT4 of James Walker Jr. and Tyler McQuarrie in fifth. 


AM Class

Anthony Geraci and Jaden Lander were the ones to beat in the AM class, earning the fastest time on board their No. 72 KRUGSPEED Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO. Austin Krainz and Roland Krainz also followed up on another successful practice session, finishing second in the No. 18 RS1 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport. 

Nicholas Shanny and Terry Borcheller were behind the wheel of their No. 20 Carrus Callas Raceteam Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO, once again inserting themselves amongst the frontrunners. Juan Pablo Martinez and Nelson Calle had another consistent outing on board their No. 83 NOLASPORT Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport, with the No. 98 Random Vandals Racing of Paul Sparta and Al Carter slotting themselves into the Top 5 as well.
