Smooge Racing Returns to Pirelli GT4 America with a New Driver Line-Up

Smooge Racing-Powered by PRAX will make their return to the SRO Pirelli GT4 America Series campaigning a Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO with a new driver line-up.

The No. 68 Gearwrench GR Supra will feature the reigning Toyota GR Cup Series champion Tyler Gonzalez and Pirelli GT4 America Series champion, John Geesbreght. Both drivers are part of the Toyota Driver Development (TD2) program working their way up the sports car ladder. As Tyler moves up the sports car ladder, he brings with him sponsorship from TRD’s official partner, GEARWRENCH, who was behind him in the GR Cup last year.

“We are thrilled to welcome GEARWRENCH to the Smooge Racing family.  I am very stoked to have Tyler join us as well.  John and Tyler have both had a lot of success in SRO as well as anything they have raced and I am confident they will be a very strong pairing," said Team Principal Kevin Conway. “We are fully focused on competing for wins and the championship this year - anything less is not acceptable.”

Multi-championship winning Smooge Racing is carrying their momentum from the 2023 season as they are set to field multiple entries in the Pirelli GT4 America, Toyota GR Cup Series and the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge Series. Additional driver lineups for select Pirelli GT4 America and Toyota GR Cup will be announced throughout the season.

“We had a great season last year as we expanded into GR Cup and continued success with our current entries across SRO and other series,” said Conway. “We are building on that foundation as we are fielding multiple GR Supra GT4 EVOs along with GR86s in the GR Cup Series, and look forward on what’s to come in 2024. We will have some fun surprise driver line-ups throughout the year with some great drivers!”
