BMW’s Strength in Numbers with Random Vandals Racing

It’s an impressive feat for a team to be able to raise a title fight, but Random Vandals Racing took it another step further by challenging for wins across multiple classes in the Pirelli GT4 America championship. The competition was fierce across the board, and the Vandals were in the mix on every occasion. Their exceptional performances and consistent podium appearances directly contributed to BMW being crowned the Manufacturer Champion in 2024.

In the Silver class, Kenton Koch and Kevin Boehm fought to the bitter end with their No. 97 Random Vandals Racing BMW M4 GT4 G82, remaining in the championship hunt up until the very last round of the season. They ultimately finished as the runners-up, but their achievements over the course of the season were nothing short of stupendous, with three wins and six podium finishes.

It was a similar tale in the Am class, as the No. 98 BMW M4 GT4 G82 was in contention for the crown all the way up to the final race of the year at the Brickyard. Team Owner Paul Sparta and teammate Kris Wilson were off to a strong start before a challenging and unfortunate weekend at Road America saw Michael Kanisczak take over Sparta’s driving duties for the remainder of the rounds.

Although the team had to overcome some difficult setbacks throughout the season, that didn’t stop them from chasing for trophies at every turn. They scored two wins and seven podium results in total, concluding their campaign as Vice Champions in this category as well.

Despite the fact that they fell slightly short of their goals of securing the Driver and Team Championship titles, Random Vandals Racing’s monumental efforts saw them emerge as the frontrunners for BMW as the manufacturer sought a championship of their own.

In the end, BMW won the Overall Manufacturers title with a total of 271 points, scoring maximum points in four out of the thirteen rounds, including the valuable double points haul in the Lone Star Enduro at Circuit of The Americas. It is undeniable that without Random Vandals Racing’s strong presence and performances across the Silver and Am classes, the leaderboard may have looked very different.
