NOLASPORT is excited to announce that Matt Travis will join Matheus Leist behind the wheel of the No. 47 NOLASPORT Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport for the final rounds of the Pirelli GT4 America championship at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Travis will replace regular full-season driver Michael Auriemma, who will be absent for the season finale.
The pairing brings together a potent combination of experience, speed, and race-winning caliber as the team looks to close out the 2025 season on a high note in the Pro-Am class. They have secured numerous top 5 finishes, but are aiming to notch a podium result to conclude this year’s campaign.
“It’s been a challenging year for all of us at NOLASPORT,” said Matheus Leist. “We’ve shown great pace and qualified on pole multiple times in class, but we just haven’t quite been able to put it all together in the races. We’ve got two more chances at Indy, which is one of my favorite tracks on the calendar, and I’m looking forward to enjoying the weekend with the team and sharing the car with Matt for the first time. It’s unfortunate that Michael will miss the finale, but I’m ready for the challenge ahead.”
Travis, a proven front-runner and former series champion, is eager to return to the Porsche platform for the weekend. He has a longstanding relationship with NOLASPORT, having won two out of the three consecutive GT4 America championships the team earned, claiming the drivers’ titles in 2021 and 2023.
Furthermore, Travis and the team have also brought their competitive edge overseas on multiple occasions in the GT4 European Series, representing America on a global stage by taking on the prestigious Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium.
“What a treat to be back driving in the series, albeit briefly,” he said. “I'll be coming back from a long-planned vacation late Thursday night, so I'm missing the test days and practice one. The first corner’s a right, right? Go ahead and fold the mirrors in — we won’t be using them anyway!”
The team looks forward to an exciting weekend at the iconic Indianapolis Motor Speedway, where they aim to capitalize on their proven pace and finish the year strong.
The race weekend action will get underway on Thursday, October 16th with Practice 1, while Practice 2 and Qualifying will follow on Friday. Race 1 is set to take place on Saturday morning, and the season will conclude on Sunday with Race 2.
