TechSport Racing (“TSR”) is set to embark on an exciting new chapter, returning to the Pirelli GT4 America championship and partnering with Ford Racing to campaign the all-new Mustang GT4 in the 2026 season. The move marks the highly anticipated debut of the current Mustang GT4 in SRO America competition, bringing one of the most iconic names in motorsport to the grid under the TechSport banner.
The Mustang GT4, developed by Ford Racing in collaboration with Multimatic Motorsports, builds on the global success of its predecessors and represents an integral role of Ford’s customer racing platform and motorsports ladder, which includes the Dark Horse R and Mustang GT3. Having already shown impressive pace and reliability in 2025 competition across Australia, Europe, and North America, the car now makes its way to Pirelli GT4 America for its first full-season effort.
In addition to this news comes the announcement that Frankie Muniz will be joining the team as a driver for a partial season campaign, running select Pirelli GT4 America events in the TechSport Racing Ford Mustang GT4. Muniz was first introduced to TechSport last season, campaigning the Dark Horse R in the Mustang Challenge Le Mans Invitational. Ford Racing will now have representation in multiple SRO America categories, which includes the Mustang GT3 in GT World Challenge America Powered by AWS.

In the SRO-sanctioned GT4 ranks, Mustang GT4 will compete in three continental championships which also include Europe and Australia.
Under the hood, the Mustang GT4 features a 5.0-liter naturally aspirated Coyote V8 engine by Ford Racing, paired with a six-speed Holinger paddle shift gearbox and Bosch Motorsport electronics. Aerodynamic enhancements, including a carbon fiber rear wing, dive planes, and an aggressive front splitter, combined with advanced suspension geometry make the Mustang GT4 one of the most dynamic entries in the field, delivering a package that perfectly blends raw power and race-ready precision.
“We are very excited here at TechSport to be part of the Ford Racing family,” said Kevin Anderson. “I don’t think any manufacturer is investing more in sports car racing than Ford Racing. The ladder that they have created for drivers is impressive, and I expect the help they provide young drivers will be equally impressive.”
“Following the debut of the Ford Mustang GT3 in 2025, we’re excited to see Ford Racing expand its presence in SRO America with the arrival of the new Mustang GT4,” expressed Greg Gill, President and CEO of SRO America. “The expansion of the Mustang’s presence and its inclusion across multiple championships allows us to welcome even more Mustang fans to the track. It’s a fantastic opportunity to showcase the depth and strength of Ford’s program and the heightened level of competition across our series.”
The 2026 program will see TechSport Racing field at least one Mustang GT4, with additional driver announcements to be confirmed at a later day. Furthermore, TechSport is actively seeking funded drivers to join its second entry, offering a unique opportunity to compete in one of the most exciting GT4 platforms available today.
