GT4 America Contenders Ready to Make Noise in the Second Half of the Season

Championship leaders and race winners naturally command much of the spotlight throughout an SRO America season. But beyond the familiar names atop the standings, there are plenty of teams and drivers quietly building momentum and knocking on the door of breakthrough performances.

Whether it's a long-awaited first victory, a new driver pairing finding its rhythm, or a team steadily climbing toward championship contention, these are the competitors worth keeping an eye on when racing resumes at Road America later this summer from August 28th-30th.

No. 51 Auto Technic Racing BMW M4 GT4 (G82) EVO – Kevin Boehm & Francis Seldorff

Kevin Boehm entered 2026 fresh off his 2025 Silver class championship, bringing proven winning credentials to Auto Technic Racing. Alongside Francis Seldorff, the duo has repeatedly shown they belong among the front-runners.

Despite collecting multiple podium finishes, victory has remained just out of reach. Their consistency has kept them firmly in the conversation every weekend, and with the pace they've displayed, an official first win together feels less like a question of if and more a question of when.

No. 39 Dome Motorsport Mercedes-AMG GT4 – Marc Miller & Allen Patten

Marc Miller and Allen Patten have quietly emerged as one of the Pro-Am class's most intriguing combinations. Recent podium finishes have highlighted the team's upward trajectory, while consistently strong qualifying performances have demonstrated outright speed before the races even begin.

As they continue to compile strong finishes, both in class and overall, Dome Motorsport has positioned itself as a team capable of challenging for race wins during the closing stretch of the championship.

No. 30 TechSport Racing Ford Mustang GT4 (S650) – Tyler Stone & Frankie Muniz

The season has delivered its share of highs and lows for Tyler Stone and Frankie Muniz, but Road Atlanta served as another reminder of what the pairing can accomplish when everything comes together.

Their second podium finish of the year reinforced that TechSport Racing has the pace to compete near the front of the Am class. Avoiding the bad luck that has occasionally interrupted promising weekends could allow the duo to potentially battle their way into the top three of the championship standings.

The Second Half Awaits

Championship battles are often defined by the familiar front-runners, but seasons are just as frequently remembered for breakthrough moments. A first victory, a surprise podium, or a team finding its stride can quickly reshape the narrative.

With Road America set to kick off the final stretch of the 2026 season, these competitors have already shown they possess the talent to contend. All that's left is for everything to come together when it matters most.
