The penultimate event of the 2026 Pirelli GT4 America season is officially in the rear view, with the doubleheader at Barber Motorsports Park completing the penultimate event of the American championship. Now, all eyes turn toward Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the season finale.
BMW M has continued to build on the momentum that saw it take over the Global GT4 Manufacturer Championship lead earlier in the season, stretching its advantage to 1,399 points. Toyota remains in second with 1,170 points, while Porsche continues to close the gap in third with 1,149 points.
A total of 68 rounds have now been completed across the global GT4 manufacturer championship fight, with another 17 still to come across multiple continents before the final standings are determined.
For the American championship, however, everything comes down to Indianapolis next week.
BMW M
BMW M once again enjoyed a strong points haul at Barber Motorsports Park, continuing to strengthen its position at the top of the global standings.
The manufacturer opened Race 1 with a pair of Silver-class podium finishes, as Auto Technic Racing secured second place and Random Vandals Racing followed in third.
Random Vandals Racing also found the top step of the Pro-Am podium, beginning what would become a highly successful weekend for the team, as Race 2 saw them complete a Pro-Am sweep of the weekend.
In the Am category, Rigid Speed Company and Colorado Motorsport with Flying Lizard added second- and third-place finishes, respectively. Colorado Motorsport with Flying Lizard repeated its third-place result in Race 2.
Auto Technic Racing also returned to the podium, this time securing third place in the Silver category.
The consistent stream of strong results allowed BMW M to further extend its championship advantage as the manufacturer heads toward the final stages of the global fight.
Toyota
After a lengthy wait, Toyota and RAFA Racing Team returned to the top step of the Silver-class podium in Race 1, scoring its first victory since the season opener at Sonoma.
The team continued its strong form into Race 2, adding a third-place finish and another valuable podium to Toyota’s championship tally.
With Toyota currently second in the global manufacturer standings, every remaining result will be important as the manufacturer looks to close the gap over the final rounds of the season.
Porsche
Porsche continued to chip away at Toyota’s advantage with a collection of podium finishes at Barber Motorsports Park.
NOLASPORT delivered back-to-back third-place results in Pro-Am, earning the final step of the podium in both Race 1 and Race 2.
ACI Motorsports was also a major contributor to Porsche’s weekend. The team captured the Am class victory in Race 1 before returning to the podium with a runner-up finish in Race 2. They then added another victory in Race 2, this time taking the top step in the Silver category.
The results helped Porsche continue its late-season surge, with the manufacturer now just 21 points behind Toyota in the global standings.

The global GT4 calendar continues in October, with the Beijing Street Circuit next on the schedule as the SRO GT Cup heads to China on October 3rd and 4th.
Meanwhile, the American championship has just one stop remaining. Pirelli GT4 America returns to Indianapolis Motor Speedway from October 8th to 11th for the final two rounds of the 2026 season. With the American championship coming down to its final doubleheader at the Brickyard, the stage is set for one final showdown.
