Thermal, Calif. - GT4 competitors threw down Round 5 Qualifying laps at the final weekend of the Winter Invitational series. The six-round competition will be entirely decided on different track configurations at Southern California's Thermal Club.
In the top spot was GMG Racing's Alex Welch, piloting his #14 Audi R8 LMS GT4 machine to a pole-capturing fast lap of 2:09.092-seconds.
Piloting the rare-sight American muscle, James Pesek took his #40 Ford Mustang GT4 through its paces around the course and lapped the circuit in 2:09.741-seconds to capture P2.
In P3, Rearden Racing's Paul Terry managed a 2:10.301-second circuit that was good enough to put his #33 Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4 in the second-row.
Racers take to the track at 3:00 pm for Round 5 competition.
