OGH Motorsports will return to Pirelli GT4 America SprintX competition in partnership with NOLASPORT in the 2021 season, with the #7 Porsche 718 Cayman Clubsport MR! This year Sean Gibbons will be paired with Sam Owen, who will be making his professional racing debut. The duo will compete in the AM class looking to defend last season's championship win by Sean and Zac Anderson. The number 7 car will feature a new livery in support of their latest sponsor Valkyrie, an Austin, TX based artificial intelligence and machine learning firm; along with returning sponsors Trattore Farms and Phoenix Global Health,
“ I am looking forward to getting back into the Pirelli GT4 America competition in our Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport MR after the amazing season Zac and I had with the whole team from NOLASPORT. This season I am driving with one of my closest friends, Sam Owen, who is relatively new to racing but has really developed quickly and is ready for this new challenge”, said Sean Gibbons.
“It’s going to be an exciting season for me, as I get to measure my driving against some of the best guys in the world on these iconic tracks all around the country. Sean has been working with me for a little over a year to get me ready for this level of racing.
I know it's going to be a big step up from the club racing that I have been doing, but I will continue to work hard and with the amazing support of OGH and Nolasport we hope to have a great season.”, said Sam Owen.
OGH Motorsports is planning to field a second car for 2020 Pirelli GT4 America Rookie of the Year Zac Anderson and a to-be-named co-driver this season. “Last year was a great opportunity for me to show some of my capability, and most importantly learn the sponsorship game with Sean and Sam mentoring me”, said Zac.
“Now that I’m a ‘Silver’ I’m greatly looking forward to the challenge and to continue to raise my game.” Repeating last year’s results will be tough for the team but we are up for the challenge. Join us at the track, check out our youtube or at CBS sports to cheer us on!
