Sonoma, Calif - Patrick Gallagher wasted no time making his presence known in the #00 Notlad Racing by RS1 Aston Martin Vantage GT4 during Friday’s Practice 2 and laid down an early-session fastest lap of 1:45.798, besting Practice 1’s top time by four-tenths of a second. Brandon Davis and the #59 WR Racing Aston Martin was .323 behind Gallagher with the #119 Stephen Cameron Racing BMW M4 GT4 of Gregory Liefooghe ending the session in third.
Jon Miller took over driving duties in the second half of the session and placed the #94 BimmerWorld Racing BMW M4 GT4 atop the Silver class with a 1:47.242 fastest lap, which was good enough for eighth overall. The #71 Marco Polo Motorsports KTM X-Bow Evo would end the session second in class with the #22 CCR Racing/Team TFB BMW M4 GT4 third.
The #16 Capstone Motorsports Mercedes-AMG GT4 once again led the way in the Am category with Kris Wilson laying down a very impressive 1:47.024 lap time that placed him sixth overall. Sean Gibbons and the #7 NOLASPORT Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 would finish the session second in class with the new-for-2021 #68 Toyota GR Supra GT4 from Smooge Racing rounding out the top three.
Pirelli GT4 America competitors will be on track tomorrow morning at 10:15 AM local time for Qualifying Sessions 1 and 2 with Race 1 taking place at 4:05 PM local. Follow all of the action live and in real time at https://www.gt4-america.com/live.
