Jason Bell Returns to VIR and the Site of a Triple Podium Performance in 2020

Set to return to action this coming weekend at the VIRginia International Raceway (VIR), Jason Bell is hoping to improve on his triple podium performance at the same facility less than a year ago. Sticking with the GMG Racing program but making the move to the Aston Martin Vantage GT4, Bell will compete in both the GT4 America and Pirelli GT4 America SprintX programs.

“VIR has been good to us in the past and we hope to keep that momentum going in 2021,” explained Jason Bell, who will once again be pulling double duty. “Three third place podium results last year was great but as a racer, you always want to win. That is the goal this year as I know we have the car and team to get it done.”

While Bell will fly the GMG Racing colors in the GT4 America, he will once again share the steering wheel with Andrew Davis in the Pirelli GT4 America SprintX. As a driver pairing that has had success over the past two years, both Bell and Davis are ready for some more wheel-to-wheel action.

Bell added, “We have been on the podium already this year but feel we deserve more. We have shown great speed but haven’t always had the best of luck. A first corner incident at the Circuit of the Americas that was no fault of our own took us out of contention, but VIR is a new chance to get the elusive first win of 2021.”

With a pair of practice sessions taking place on Friday for each class, Saturday will be the home of qualifying and race one of the weekend with Sunday reserved for the second wheel-to-wheel action. You can follow all the racing action at GT4America.com.

Jason Bell would like to thank all of his partners for their continued support. A huge thanks to GMG Racing, Aston Martin Racing, Ceramic Pro USA and Gridsport.
