SRO America Mourns the Loss of Joe Jordan

It’s with a heavy heart we share the news that Joe Jordan passed away last Friday. For the past three seasons, Joe served as the lead commentator for the public address system and SiriusXM radio during SRO America races. He always brought laughter into the paddock and was willing to pitch in wherever he was needed, from early morning COVID checks to booth staff at events.

Racing was a family affair for Joe Jordan. Joe proudly was the father of TC America driver Joey Jordan, a multi-race winner in the TCB category of Pirelli World Challenge. But before he watched his own son take up his passion, Joe raced himself competing in SCCA, Firestone Firehawk Series, Speedvision Cup, and Speed World Challenge.

Joe also had an illustrious career in the automotive industry, working in the motorsports departments of Yokohama Tire and Toyo Tire. Plus, Joe shared his bond in racing with his brother, Jim Jordan - TC America’s Series Director.

“Joe Jordan touched so many lives. He was quick to find common interests with anyone he met and turned those into friendships throughout the paddock,” said President and CEO of SRO Motorsports America, Greg Gill. “Our prayers and thoughts go out to Joe’s family.”

Please join us in sending our condolences and prayers to the Jordan family, especially his wife Janice, daughter Jahna, and son Joey.
