McAleer Charges Ahead in Silver, Pro-Am Sees Tight Times in Pirelli GT4 America at NOLA

A smooth first practice session of the day led to strong, consistent lap times. In the Silver category, Stevan McAleer (#18 RS1 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport) set the quickest time of the session with a 1:43.844, followed by Auten Smith (#51 Auto Technic Racing BMW M4) with a 1:44.652, and Gavin Sanders (#34 Conquest Racing/JMF Motorsports Mercedes-AMG GT4) laying down a 1:45.215.

In Pro-Am, Andrew Davis (#2 GMG Racing Aston Martin AMG Vantage) laid down the quickest lap time with a 1:44.425, just a hair away from McAleer. Right off of his tail was Jason Hart (#47 Nolasport Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport) with a 1:44.443. The third-quickest time of 1:44.460 was claimed by John Capestro-Dubets (#52 Auto Technic Racing BMW M4). Expect Practice Session No. 2, Qualifying, and weekend’s races to have some awfully tight action at the front.

Finally, in Am, Juan Martinez (#83 RS1 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport) led the pack with a 1:45.067, followed by James Clay (#86 BimmerWorld BMW M4) setting a 1:45.144, and Al Carter (#98 Random Vandals BMW M4) clocking in a 1:45.356.

Practice Session No. 2 goes down at 4:55 PM Central.
