SRO Motorsports America will return to Elkhart Lake Wisconsin, on August 15-18, for an action-packed weekend at the iconic four-mile Road America circuit. Just over 400 miles from the Nissan Technical Center (NTCNA) in Farmington Hills, Michigan, this event offers a prime opportunity for Nissan engineers to join the Nissan Z NISMO teams and fans at the track.
“Nissan engineers have a special bond with motorsports, and Road America is the ideal setting for NTCNA engineers to connect with both our racing and production car customers. said Mike Carcamo, Program Director, Sports Cars, NISMO Cars and Motorsports, Nissan Motor Corporation. “Our engineers will be active with the Z car corral, engaging with spectators and discussing career opportunities within Nissan.”
On the track, Nissan will be represented by three customer teams fielding four Nissan Z NISMO race cars with one-hour races on both Saturday and Sunday.
For 2024, TechSport Racing Team has been joined by Blackdog Racing and Flying Lizard Motorsports, bringing together three teams with championship pedigrees.
- TechSport Racing (TSR): Road America will have two new faces at TSR. Colin Harrison will welcome Elivan Goulart to the #22 car, while Jonathan Neudorf will be joined by Johan Schwartz in #23.
- Blackdog Racing: Tony Gaples and Michael Cooper will drive the #9 Z. In May, the Blackdog made history with the first Pro-Am class win for the Nissan Z NISMO at Sebring.
- Flying Lizard Motorsports: Damir Hot and Rodrigo Baptista will drive the #5 Z in the Pirelli GT4 America races. The duo landed their first podium finish at VIR and will aim for the top step in Wisconsin.
