Billy Johnson and Christian Bach Team Up with Racers Edge Motorsports for Pirelli GT4 America at Road America

EGRESS Mobility Platforms Joins Racers Edge Motorsports as Primary Sponsor for Pro-Am Aston Martin Vantage GT4 Entry

Billy Johnson and Christian Bach join Racers Edge Motorsports in the No. 54 Aston Martin Vantage GT4 for the fifth round in SRO America’s Pirelli GT4 America series at Road America, August 28–30.

This program reflects Racers Edge Motorsports' long-time commitment to combining proven experience with emerging talent in driver development programs built to compete at a high level.  Johnson's experience at the highest levels of North American sports car racing pairs with Bach's development as one of the sport's promising young drivers as he prepares for an expanded sports car program in 2027.

The weekend also marks the debut of Egress Mobility Platforms as the company unveils its first prototype machine, joining Racers Edge Motorsports as the campaign’s primary sponsor for the Road America event.

Billy Johnson recently claimed the Open Class victory in his debut at the legendary Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, adding another milestone to his racing career. In addition to his success behind the wheel, Johnson has played a key role in the development of numerous high-performance road and race cars throughout his career.

“I’m really excited to be driving with Christian Bach and Racers Edge Motorsports at Road America. I’ve raced against this team for many years and its great to finally be driving for them,” said Johnson. “I was Christian’s teammate for a few races in the past and I’m looking forward to co-driving with him. I’m happy to be back in the SRO paddock with this great team effort and anticipate a solid weekend at the track.”

In just a few short years, Christian Bach has steadily progressed through the sports car racing ranks while continuing to build experience in GT4 machinery, where he developed a strong working relationship with Billy Johnson. Competing in SRO America marks another important milestone in Bach’s career path alongside one of the series' most accomplished veterans.

“It’s great to be back racing,” said Bach. “This weekend is a new challenge with my first time in the Aston Martin Vantage GT4 and my SRO debut. I’ve been on the same team as Billy Johnson in the past, so it’s great to finally share a car with him. He brings a ton of experience, and I’m looking forward to learning from him while working together throughout the weekend. The goal is to get up to speed quickly, execute a clean weekend, and put ourselves in position for a strong result.”
