- Provisional Qualifying 1 Results
The starting grids were set for the final time in 2026 as Indianapolis Motor Speedway hosted the last two Pirelli GT4 America qualifying sessions of the year. With Race 1 scheduled for Saturday morning, and Race 2 to follow on Sunday, locking in a good position was crucial for competitors seeking to get one step closer to clinching championship titles, or disrupt the current standings.
A red flag came out early in Qualifying 1, but the session was able to resume shortly thereafter. However, Qualifying 2 was abandoned, with the grid for Race 2 being set by other means via the discretion of the stewards.
Silver Class
Qualifying 1
RAFA Racing Team’s Westin Workman is looking to keep the championship fight alive in the final two rounds of the season after the team had a strong previous weekend at Barber, which saw them return to victory lane. He got off on the right foot by qualifying his No. 68 Toyota Gazoo Racing GR Supra GT4 EVO2 first overall and in class for Race 1.
Silver class championship leader Spencer Pumpelly followed close behind in P2 on board the No. 028 RS1 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport for most of the session as he also looks to seal the deal on an incredible championship run. However, in the final minutes, Austin Jurs jumped ahead to P2 in the No. 131 Advance Motorsports McLaren Artura GT4, bumping Pumpelly to third.
Pro-Am Class
Qualifying 1
Allen Patten led the way in Qualifying 1, finishing first in class and P7 overall in the No. 39 Dome Motorsport Mercedes-AMG GT4. Karl Forman was just behind him in the No. 03 Precision Racing LA Toyota Gazoo Racing GR Supra GT4 EVO2, but McCumbee McAleer Racing’s Michael Tosi moved ahead into second in his No. 77 Ford Mustang GT4 (S650) with under two minutes remaining, pushing Forman to third in class.
Am Class
Qualifying 1
Michael Garcia, who returned behind the wheel of the No. 21 BMW M4 GT4 (G82) EVO, continued his strong qualifying performances as he will start at the front of the Am class for the opening race of the weekend. Additionally, he will line up just outside the top 10 overall.
It was also a very good showing from Ford teams, with TechSport Racing’s Frankie Muniz qualifying second in class in the No. 30 Ford Mustang GT4 (S650) as they look to retain their slim championship lead, with Carlton MacFarlane going P3 in class with the McCumbee McAleer Racing No. 11 Ford Mustang GT4 (S650).
