Pirelli GT4 America Program Will Kick Off Jason Bell’s Audi Sport Program for 2019

Confirming Global Motorsports Group (GMG) Racing as his program in 2019, Jason Bell will kick start his season at the Blancpain GT World Challenge branded Pirelli GT4 America SprintX event this coming weekend at the famed Circuit of the Americas (COTA). Completing a test day at the facility this past week, Bell is confident that GMG Racing and his Audi R8 GT4 LMS #2 will be at the top of the charts come the final checkered flag on Sunday.

Competing in the same Audi R8 LMS GT4 that closed their 2018 season with a podium at the Sebring Encore, Bell looks forward to new year.

“I’m really happy to return to GMG for the 2019 season,” stated Bell. “The Blancpain GT4 Sprint Championship is an excellent venue for close and competitive racing, and as the defending champions with the same type of car, I know I’ve chosen the right team with GMG. After our 2018 campaign, we’ve learned a lot and made progress and moving forward, our target is very high.”

“We had a really productive test and I am very happy where we ended with both the speed and the handling of the car,” explained Bell. “The GMG Racing guys worked through their test program and we did a lot of laps. Though the track was a little greener than what we will see this weekend, I think we have a shot to do really well.”

With three test sessions on the schedule for Thursday and two practice sessions on Friday, it all gets serious on Saturday morning with the weekend’s official qualifying session. Saturday afternoon will provide the background for the first wheel-to-wheel action of the season, as race one takes place that afternoon while race two takes the green flag on Sunday.

Upon conclusion of the event Sunday, Bell and GMG Racing will immediately head east to St. Petersburg, Florida for the Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, Bell’s home event on the 2019 calendar.

Jason Bell would like to thank his partners for their continued support. A special thanks to Highway Systems, Incorporated, Continental Benefits, Osteria, Frost NYC, Gridsport, Reeves Motorsports, Audi of Tampa and Global Motorsports Group.
